Notes on Protesting, First Solo Exhibition Of Peter Liversidge at The Whitechapel Gallery until 14th June

Whitechapel Gallery is currently showing ‘Notes on Protesting’, a new solo exhibition by British artist Peter Liversidge, inspired by ideas around demonstration and protest. The show is the result of a collaboration with groups of primary school children from east London, who worked with Liversidge to compose and write lyrics for protest songs, create choreography and design banners and placards. Peter Liversidge: InterstatePeter Liversidge‘s second multiple with The Multiple Store is Interstate, a true-to-scale American roadsign produced using (federal approved) US Interstate Green which was only made available to the public a couple of years ago. The font, also called Interstate, is scaled down proportionately to the scale of the work; the reflective material enables viewing at night. The work comes ready with wall fixings. Interstate can be mounted on poles and can also be exhibited outdoors.

Interstate is presented in an edition of 10 and is available for purchase here.
