About the Edition

Neon lights were one of the most familiar sights in the cities of the twentieth century. Shop fronts and building facades are littered with the vibrant colours of neon screaming out their simple slogans. Today though neon has been replaced by LED as the material for the signage of the city.

Commissioned to celebrate The Multiple Store’s 10th anniversary, and is a multiple which links the past with the present. and also anticipates the future.

Peter Liversidge has been using text in his work for over 15 years. In 2007 he began experimenting with neon, exploring the potential of the material and colour. This is his first multiple to use neon.
