Yinka Shonibare has shows on three continents this autumn

Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Connecticut; closes 11 December.

Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Lagos, Nigeria: the artist’s first solo exhibition in Nigeria. 1 November 2016 to 31 January 2017. Funded by the British Council.
Yinka Shonibare MBE, a Turner Prize nominee, created an edition for The Multiple Store, Kaleidoscope in which the artist playfully explores gender stereotypes and power relations. A kaleidoscope in the shape of a phallus, with the body beautifully decorated in the Dutch wax batik patterns the artist is known for, and the head made of highly polished brass.
